Today might be a very shocking day for me, after dedicating so much time to writing every day on Medium and this is what happened.

Today, July 8th, 2024, I saw a surprising this red banner while awaiting my June 2024 payment from Medium, which was marked as pending. I had recently emailed them regarding this. However, I later discovered that my account did not meet their partner program requirements, despite meeting all the specified criteria.

Until now, there haven’t been any issues. However, today I waited about my June payment, which was pending unlike usual. After I replied to their email explaining that my account meets the requirements, I received immediate news that they terminated my partner program citing two reasons:

1. Engaging with paywalled stories in a coordinated way that isn’t authentic, or that is part of a reciprocal arrangement meant to artificially inflate earnings.
2. Paywalling AI-generated content in violation of our AI content policy.

Seeing these reasons, I feel they made a mistake with my account. I’ve been writing articles every day without using AI to create my content. To the esteemed Medium trust and safety team, please appreciate the dedication I put in, nearly 10–12 hours daily writing 1 or 2 articles. I use a format I’ve patented as my authentication, I wrote over 2000 words or more each day. I include a format at the end suggesting further reading options and support through BuyMeCoffee.

When you put all your idea, efforts, experience, and so much time to give value in your articles

I write daily with my ideas, experiences, and research to validate what I share based on many people’s experiences. Indeed, I’m deeply interested in writing extensively about narcissism, writing articles about my experience, life, study, and research with tips on how to overcome.

Therefore, I write this open letter to CEO Tony Stubblebine and the respected Medium staff to reconsider my account.

This is disheartening.

I wouldn’t mind if they revoked my account, but only if I were a spammer using AI-generated content without putting in hard work.

I’m protesting because they’re saying all my work is AI-generated, but if they look closely, they’ll see I wrote my articles with full dedication, love, time, thought, and experience.

False Flagged by Medium Trust and Safety Team

This is my only account, and I do not create meaningless or AI-generated content. Please reconsider. I’ve worked hard not to deceive or create content without value.

I also received an email stating that my account engaged in targeted, repetitive, and inauthentic engagement.

I have not done any of these, and I can guarantee 100% authenticity.

I have not engaged in any activities to artificially inflate interaction or earnings on Medium, I haven’t bought, rented, or done anything to generate claps, responses, highlights, or any other actions like those they accused me of.

Regarding my location, it’s accurate, and I’m the genuine account owner, which fits the supported location for tax and payout accounts.

I also mentioned that I am willing to provide all my documents as proof. I even sent them my passport, bank statement for proof of address, and pictures via email to Medium’s Trust & Safety team staff. I hope this is not their final decision.

Wrap it up

If you ask, “Will you stay on Medium, Ryan?” Yes, I will stick with Medium and continue writing about narcissism here, as I used to. I love writing to help people recover from narcissistic abuse. Also, I really appreciate everyone who supports me through BuyMeCoffee.

And I understand that some of my articles may offend some of you, and you may have reported me or my stories. That’s okay. Not everyone will agree or like my work here, but that’s part of it.

But if it’s a pure mistake flagged by Medium, I hope they can fix it because building this took time and effort. I pour my love, heart, time, and dedication into each article I write every day, and I strive to comply with all rules on writing and engagement (I think all of us dedicated writers here do), despite the accusations that led to the revocation of my partner program.
